SiteToMD

We collect
nothing.

The Android and iOS apps process everything on your device. The website converter fetches pages through Cloudflare so your browser can convert them. No account is created. We do not store converted pages.

Plain English Summary

The Android and iOS apps have no backend. When you convert a URL in the app, it loads in a private browser on your phone. The Markdown file is saved to your local storage. Nothing leaves your device. No analytics, no ad network, no user accounts.

The website converter is different. The URL you paste is fetched through a Cloudflare Worker so your browser can convert the HTML. We do not store the page or the Markdown. Cloudflare's edge may see the request the way any proxied site does.

01Information We Collect

The Android and iOS apps do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The website converter is described in its own section below.

Android & iOS apps: zero data collected. The apps do not collect names, email addresses, device identifiers, IP addresses, usage statistics, crash reports, or any other information. The website converter is different (section 03): Cloudflare's edge may see the request IP.

02How the App Processes Your Content

When you share a URL to SiteToMD or paste one into the app, the URL is loaded by a private in-app browser (Android WebView or iOS WKWebView) on your device. The page is rendered locally, its main content is extracted, and a Markdown file is produced. This entire process happens on your phone.

SiteToMD does not proxy your requests through any server, does not log the URLs you convert, and does not retain any copy of the pages you process or the Markdown files you create.

03Website Converter

When you paste a URL into the converter on sitetomd.app, that URL is fetched by a Cloudflare Worker so your browser can convert the HTML to Markdown. The Worker only retrieves the page; conversion happens in your browser.

We do not create accounts. We do not store the page or the Markdown. We do not use analytics SDKs. Cloudflare's edge may see the request (IP address, timestamp) as with any site served through their network.

04Files Stored on Your Device

If you choose to save a converted file, SiteToMD writes a .md file to the Downloads/SiteToMD/ folder on your device using Android's standard MediaStore API. On iPhone, files are saved to On My iPhone/SiteToMD in the Files app, or a folder you choose in Settings. These files belong to you entirely. You can read, move, edit, share, or delete them at any time using your phone's Files app.

SiteToMD retains no copy of these files and has no access to them after they are written.

05Third-Party Services

SiteToMD does not integrate any third-party analytics platforms, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or cloud storage services.

The app does not include SDKs from Google Analytics, Firebase, Facebook, Mixpanel, Sentry, or any equivalent service. There are no trackers of any kind embedded in the app.

06Internet Access

SiteToMD requests the INTERNET permission solely to allow the WebView to load the URLs you provide. No other network requests are made by the app. The permission is not used to transmit data to any server controlled by Ploski Studio.

07Children's Privacy

SiteToMD is not directed at children under 13 and is not designed or marketed for use by children. Ploski Studio does not knowingly collect information from children. Because the app collects no information from any user, no special handling for children's data is required.

08Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in a material way — for example, if a future version of the app introduces optional analytics or account features — the updated policy will be posted at sitetomd.app/privacy with a revised "Last Updated" date, and the change will be noted in the app's Play Store release notes.

The current policy will always be available at this URL.
